We are hiring an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the team at Biscuit Head!  We are a fast-casual and fast paced breakfast/brunch restaurant who is passionate about quality, homemade food, providing excellent customer service, and community responsibility.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and controls all kitchen expenditures including food cost, labor and other expenses in order to achieve financial objectives for the Restaurant.
  • Understands menu prior to opening and is aware of changes during service.
  • Understands timing of various items, supervises and provides direction to the entire kitchen operation.
  • Knowledgeable of all menu items, garnish, contents and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu in a direct, concise way.
  • Oversees food quality coming from the Line. Ensures that presentation, temperature and portions meet standards.
  • Ensures restaurant staff completes opening/closing duties on a daily basis including all assigned sidework.
  • Responsible for the hiring and training of all kitchen staff.
  • Work as a part of a team as well as complete assignments independently.
  • Take instructions from the owners and General Manager and exercise problem-solving skills.
  • Interact with co-workers, guests and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • May be required to drive vehicle during work day.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years Kitchen Manager/Chef role in a full service restaurant.
  • Must be available to work early mornings 5:00am.
  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Minimum 50 hours per week schedule.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary education is preferred.
  • 2+ years Kitchen Management experience.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish speaking).
